Spying on the Crusaders

I felt like a pork chop at a Jewish wedding being invited to a Crusaders training session followed by a B-B-Cue at Rugby Park in Christchurch .
Surrounded by a sea of red and black there I was sitting in the grandstand with my Wellington Rugby Supporters polo on .
There was the odd sly comment about the Crusaders winning all the trophy's and what had Wellington or the Hurricanes won ; but generally it was lighthearted and said in jest .
All in all it was a fun afternoon being well organised and the Crusaders showed their appreciation to their supporters by signing jersey's etc .
Also the coach Robbie Deans gave a speech thanking the supporters for their continued support which went down well with the crowd .
I spoke briefly with Stephen Brett their 1st five eighth who came across as a genuine guy being down to earth and he was surprised that we had a Wellington Rugby Supporters Club based in Canterbury .
